It is the situation for the republic of Bangladesh. The government of this country has added a new tax on every products of here. From the services of phone calling to goods everything is now under this new TAX. One after another, TAX is adding here nowadays.We know, we were under 15% VAT on every products of our country. Then we had extra cost of 15 Taka on every 100 Taka products. Means that if you buy a product costing of 100 taka you had to pay 115 Taka then.
From the last month our government has added more 5% Tax (named as surcharge) including the previous. That means your cost has been increased more.
For example:
You have bought a product of pricing 100.00 Taka
Add 5% surcharge 100*5% = 5.00 Taka
-----------------------------------------------------------
Total: 105.00 Taka
Add 15% VAT 105*15% = 15.75 Taka
You have to pay: = 120.75 Taka ~ 121 Taka
But it is more sorrowful that from this month more 3% TAX has been included on every products/services. So the cost has been increased more. If I give an example you will be clear more. From the previous example you we found the paying cost is: 120.7500 Taka
Add 3% on it: 120.75*3% = 3.6225 Taka
Total payment: = 124.3725 Taka
So we have found that if we buy any product of pricing 100 Taka we have to pay 124.3725 Taka including all kind of TAX. This means we have to pay 24.3725~25.00 Taka extra on every 100.00 Taka costing products/services.
It is very difficult/troubled for the poor and middle class people of the country.
